Not sure about UOB pay scales, but at 10+ years I'd say at least 11-13k for a vp role in other banks. think they are offering you an increment based off your current pay, which may explain the lowball?

Is it worth taking a risk to switch from local to foreign consumer bank MO after age 40, despite the lower pay? -10to20pc...
Common perception is local banks are more suited when one is nearing retirement, more stable and less likely to hire n fire / downsize.
Thoughts?

Lower pay and less stability? Doesn't sound like a good deal (unless your salary trajectory at the foreign bank is superior to the local one)

You'd be surprised, I'm in a BB and 10y total experience VP in ops makes just 9-10k with 0.7 months bonus. American Bank, and yes, operations.
