Yeah lol sometimes I wonder why still the fascination with “international banks”. You see it a lot on this forum etc. it’s like we are still living in the banking world of early 2000s.

Exactly! Foreign banks remain attractive perhaps for the scope of clients and coverage, but also depends which foreign banks and also mindful that the local banks esp DBS are a powerhouse bank in Asia. Salary wise, if you’re mid career and jumping into local banks, shouldn’t be an issue to give you a pay bump from your current. Bonus in local banks (min. 3 months) is definitely more than the likes of your jpm/citi/hsbc/scb/ubs/etc

I got 3 months at SCB while 2.6x at DBS, perhaps I did pretty well at SCB?

Which function are you in? Ops? Tech? Sales? I got around 4-5 months on average in the past.
