Depends on what foreign bank.
UOB AVP is probably Senior Analyst in GS, Associate in JP, Officer in UBS.
UOB VP1 is probably Associate in GS, Senior Associate in JP, Assoc Dir (AVP) in UBS/SCB

Hi, does anyone know the salary range for an investment banking analyst (M&A) in DBS, UOB and OCBC with around 2-3 years of experience?

LOL in GS it takes 1-2 years to reach senior analyst... how is that equivalent to a AVP at UOB? GS is aligned with JPM.

Seems it only takes 4-5 years to get ED(VP) in GS but JPM is more difficult, avg 8-10 years.
GS inflat its VP title.

GS ED is also = VP.
Typical local grad that started working in GS BO
Analyst > Senior Analyst - 1.5y
Senior Analyst > Associate - 1y
Associate > Senior Associate - 1y
Senior Associate > VP/ED - 1y
Give and take maybe 1 year don't promote, it takes 5.5y to reach ED.
For FO, it can be even faster as they don't have Senior xxx roles. Analyst > Associate > VP can be achieved in 3y if you are high flyer. If not typically, 5 years.

how long does it usually take to become AVP in OCBC BO/MO (compliance, risk, ops etc) if one starts off as an Assistant Manager (AM)? assuming non-MA program, just a plain vanilla working grunt
