Meaning as everyone says, after a few years of work exp, employers and recruiters value the work exp more than the not-so-good grades
With so many graduates annually, I feel that paper gets a person to the interview. Attitude and experience gets us the job. Even better if you continuously upgrade and stay relevant to your field through higher degree and specialist diploma.
Just don't bother with those 2 day cert From skills future adapt and grow whatever nonsense. Add zero value to degree holders. Its mostly for office to profit per headcount and bond the rank and file staff.

Keep in mind, attitude/mindset is king in industry 4.0. Experience helps.

Just try anyway? What do you all think?
I think that it’s always good to give things a try, no harm
If it's aligned to your interest, write a compelling cover and just try. Let HR software scan your profile, don't over think. If you get the interview show your hunger by 100% fulfilling all the requirement either by learning first or find out from experienced friends what on earth is that.

Managers like hungry people more than clever people provided you didn't fall that far away from their ideal.

I was a STEM double major who graduated with a 2:2 about 8 years ago. Bit off more than I could chew due to the workload. Still managed to get into the civil service as a first job. I got my masters degree and jumped into the financial sector.

I am senior management now and other than my first job with the civil service, nobody has ever asked about my GPA at all.

Cause senior management don't use brain. So don't need GPA.

Bottom worker need brain so need GPA.
It's common knowledge senior management are paid to do nothing.

Just need ******** skills.

If you think and act like this offline, I don't think you will go far. GPA and brand name degrees are overrated.

Some people let themselves be limited by stereotypes, others learn to climb over obstacles.

Cert matters a lot when you just graduate.

It matter less as you progress in your career.

In interviews, no one wants to talk about my studies anymore, they only want to know on the projects that I have handled and the experiences that I have.

More importantly people who can think logically and critically

Smart People does not equal to people who can think logically and critically
