Joined as a Grade G SWE in early 2021. I'm getting 7.9k base (excluding 13th month).
Like others have said, the range is pretty huge. I wun be surprised if I'm actually drawing more than my team lead.

Excluding 13th month means you don't have 13th month?

Govtech will not be able to be competitive with the tier 1 tech firms and unicorns when it comes to compensation since they cannot offer RSUs.
If you are an undergraduate with 0 YOE, a typical offer from Sea (parent company of Shopee) will look like:
Annual base salary: 80k
Sign on: 5k
Bonus: 10k
RSU: 1,000 shares vesting over 4 years
If you signed this in Jan 2020, the value of the annual package then will be around 110k. You can go look at the share price of Sea now vs in Jan 2020 and you will see how important RSUs are.

GovTech is more relaxed than SEA tho. When I worked in GovTech, most of the time 5+ can pack bag and go home alr, no OT required. Not sure about the working hours at SEA.

Yea the culture here in GovTech is great man. I feel in general there's less stress on pushing out features fast but more on exploring tech. Like there's more time to research and do things properly. Well, maybe this could only be for the current department that i'm in hahah
