There is two grading for asst. manager. LTE6 (fresh grad) and LTE 7.

LTE 7 cap is 6590.

No fixed way.

Promotion by designation can come first without increase in pay. Usual reason is to 'test' staff. But it's really just for the organisation to extract more work out of you without paying you in proportion.

There are some that got 'promoted' but there was no increment. Just more work and fancier title.
