LTA offered you Senior Engineer from your original Engineer grade? That’s like jumping from LTE6 to LTE8. That’s a good offer. What kind of package are you being offered?

As I mentioned, I am currently working in another statutory board as Engineer, then LTA offered me Senior Engineer role which I thought should be pegged to MX 11.So I was a bit upset when HR shared with me it's actually still MX12.

I am wondering why Engineer, Executive Engineer and Senior Engineer all under MX12?

dont look at the grade first. look at the compensation offered.

then compare it to the grade and see how far away it is from the ceiling.

then you can gauge whether its attractive enough for your YOE and whether you have room to grow your compensation over the next few years.

Yes. I am working as an Engineer (fresh grad grade but with some yoe) in another stat board, and I am being offered for a senior engineer role(MX12) from LTA. I was actually looking for MX11 role as my current grade is MX12 and my pay is reaching to the ceiling of MX12.

My dilemma is if I cant get promoted in the next 2-4 years after joining LTA, I will have no salary increment. just very curious why LTA has three posts(E, EE, SE) under MX12, very strange.

Once you enter, you will find out why the salaries are like that. You aren't the only one being shortchanged.
