Thats why CSDP is useful for people without cyber background. At least they are willing to train people, provide certs. No experience how to get into FAANG. n tech companies and banks are firing.

Cannot be no competition. At least they are open to hiring people with no experience.

The PT team is lean. So they try to control the intake to PT to ensure the quality of the training. I cannot imagine the entire cohort of 20 people all doing PT training. The quality and experience will be compromised.

from what I heard, it seems like the PT team put in alot of effort to train new joiners. During my cohort's briefing, there was this pretty lady sharing about the team and I was told that she did not have any relevant background before joining the team. Just 2-3 months later, she obtained OSCP ...

I applied some time in mid-Feb and got an offer for CSDP last week. This was my experience,
Application form - technical assessment (both in the same week)
Got invited to preliminary interview with HR the week after (guess I passed the assessment?)
Scheduled for a final interview with the panel the following week.
Got offered 3 weeks later. In total from application until offer is 1.5 months?

So where did most of your cohort go to? SOC?
