Just look at the salary figures for 2012 and you'll see that the top 15% of earners are on 100k+. Why such the high figure of 70-80% on this forum. Make sense? Me thinks not!

it's called survivorship bias. the winners like to brag and tell stories.

go to kino or times bookshops and you see lots of biographies about such winners talking about how brilliant they are, when in fact much of their "success" can be attributed to mainly luck and less to their hard work and intelligence.

same for sports, politics and war. you don't hear much from the losers.
