If he fully paid up, he won't be poor.

Well, do you love your job? Or is there something else you have been thinking about doing?

What do you mean very Singaporean? I am ashame of you for making such an absurd accusation, and even more so if you are Singaporean. If you want to flame that sub-retard troll, by all means, but don't slur Singaporean. What you have said is just as silly and stupid as that numb-skull troll. Do some reflection and wake up your bloody idea!

Default Average Singaporeans

Me and wife's combined net worth is about S$1.5 mil

We are 50 years old

How to retire like that?

Our net worth is so small by Singaporean standards.

Any advice?

do your research well. not all parts of OZ lie along fault lines.

bill gates and steve jobs also live along the major san francisco fault line, but former is still alive and kicking while the latter died of some other reason.

if you're scared of everything, singapore is also prone to floods and people die in reservoirs almost every day.

In that case Afghanistan is an even safer place to live in because not all parts of Afghanistan lie along war zones.

I know of not 2, but 3 persons living in Afghanistan - President Hamid Karzai, First Vice President Mohammed Fahim and Karzai's brother Ahmed Wali Karzai, but the first two are still alive and kicking while the third died of some other reason than war because according to Reuters, "Ahmed Wali Karzai has been killed by one of his bodyguard, and there was nobody from outside involved".
