what about leave policy for new hires? is there a period of time (6 months?) upon initially joining the ministry/sb where taking leave is not allowed?
asking because i might be starting a new civil service job but i want to take leave to visit my gf who is studying overseas.

You have 8 years of working experience? 6.7k at mx 11a with 8 yrs experience is considered quite good as compared to average pte sector worker.
Average total annual bonus = 4 months?
If that is so, you are earning close to 110k pa which is above average

Nope. You can apply leave unless your supervisor does not allow.
