Take with a pinch salt. Don't be so serious.

Not sure for MOE exactly. In general, it depends on how HR calculate your past exp as relevant or not. If lucky, count full 7 yrs worth of increment + start. If unlucky, start all over again from fresh. Most likely, it would in-between. With no NS, I guess 3 yrs of increment + starting pay. With NS, 2 + 3 + start. As rule of thumb, I think ~150 per yr.

Another important factor is what staff grade MOE designate for the position. If the post is designated for fresh grad, high chance they would offer start + <2 yrs increment at most, even though the candidate has over 10 years. If the post is designated for superscale Director level, start would be 5 figure or high 4 figure.

That would be a fresh grad position. If you're very experienced, they may not take u in. Not because you can't do the job but they may deem you as "over-qualified" or perceive you as someone not willing to take the pay-scale. If you really like the job, make it known that you don't mind starting afresh. Best is to call them up and inquire more. Share your exp with us.

I set up a new branch at KL for 2 years before I transfer back to HQ . What they required is 2 yrs experience with degree. What I do now, is really like what they are requiring . I dont mind start as fresh is just that cant be too low le .. Call them?? means after the 1st interview or when submit the application?
