I can't control what others think, but what I did... really took a herculean effort. Grateful for bosses who acknowledged my contributions. That's why I always say good bosses are rarer than you think.

I have heard of cases of MX15 promoted to MX14 and then MX13 within 2 years.

I'm the same guy who gave the above advice on the new system, and mentioned I got promoted twice. Yes it was MX11 -> MX11A ->MX10 in consecutive years.
