But like… isn’t it called a BONUS for a reason? I don’t mind her calculating my base pay by taking into consideration the 13th month AWS, but trying to calculate my base pay based on an assumed 15 month bonus (which are variables) sounds ridiculous to me…
I’m not sure if she’s just new or something because she asked me if Highest Distinction ( NUS’s new term for FCH) is a second upper. Lol.
I asked if me having FCH means I’ll get a higher pay compared to my peers and she said no, it’s based on how relevant my degree is. But my degree is literally the exact degree asked for in the job description..?? Weird. She then asked me to alert her if any other company gives me an offer so that they can expedite their process so… hopefully this means I can still negotatie for higher pay :/
Anyways, I don’t think I’ll accept anything lower than 3.6k for monthly base pay, especially since they said long working hours are a given in this job :/

I asked for 4k a month but was shot down by HR who said they can only offer me roughly 3.3k a month because I need to consider 3.3k x 15 months and not 12 months.
Is this normal? Or am I getting lowballed? I’m just worried future employers will take my last drawn salary as 3.3k a month?
Advise please and thanks

Mx12 vs ips5
Hello all! 31 y.o.
Just joined public service. Is there a difference between this MX12 and IPS5? When it comes to PB?
I heard IPS5 is MX13? And if I get C, the bonus payout will be different?
Please enlighten me!

Grade C at different substantive grade have different quantum attached to it.
For example, a Grade C at a lower substantive grade is likely to be lesser in terms of quantum to a Grade C at a higher substantive grade. The reason is because as you progress higher, it is generally harder to do what is expected of you.

Appreciate your reply! meaning IPS 5 grade C will be more advantageous than MX12 grade c? because the expectation is lower?
If IPS 5 performance bonus for grade C is 2, MX12 will be 2 as well? (if both grade c)
