Not civil service or ministry. It's public service, a statboard
I'm not sure how these are distinguished tbh since i spent all my life in public sector

I'm a 33yo with lse clementi degree and 9 yrs exp in private sector.
Offered 9.5k pm with roughly 2mths bonus so it's roughly 130k pa.
Is this a decent pay considering my age? Am worried I'm being shortchanged cos of my degree

Were you referring to MX10 instead?
And if you're going to a SB, most of them don't use MX scale (although the rough numbers may be similar)

Congrats for getting such a high offer!

Thanks job title says Assistant director so i assumed it's roughly mx11 equivalent
Any idea if private uni grads are discriminated when it comes to annual increments?
I'm quite keen due to the iron rice bowl nature, but a bit worried that I'll be like a "second class" citizen when it comes to annual increments and progression
The posts on this thread give the impression that nus/ ntu/ smu degrees are much more favored in gov roles

Ah, perhaps it may be MX11a. Highly doubt its MX11 at that level
Nah by the time most people reach mid-tier and above, the qualifications don't matter anymore. Experience and performance are the key indicators Don't worry too much bro!
Hopefully I can get to be a higher flyer like you one day

What should I expect when I hit the salary ceiling for my grade?
Working in a starboard now and should hit my estimated salary ceiling in around 3yrs time
Would I be getting 0% increment every year once I reach that stage?

Yes that's correct. You would no longer receive any more merit increments.
