Hi all,

Private Uni, FCH.
5-ish YOE with private coys.

Offered 5K/mth to join a stat board. G7, Asst. Mgr. It's a slight increment from what I was drawing previously & understand G7 is an entry level grade (equivalent to MX12)?

Is the offer good or should I pass?

TIA!

6 years ago I got offered $4.2k with my second upper and NS.
Engineering role though.

Sad to see no changes to starting pay after so many years….

Yes, good offer. Bonuses, stability and work life balance will likely be better than your previous coy too. These are important things to consider beyond the basic pay (which is already an improvement).

So if they can match, I can just resign with 2 weeks notice and join the SB-B?

Is it ok for you to share why SB-A is a mis fit?
One of the reason is I can't see a future for myself in SB-A and I don't wish to do what I am doing now for years to come as there is practically not much challenge. So I guess it is better for me and SB-A that I leave earlier so they can find a more suitable person.

Currently working in a stat board and received an offer frm another stat board. Was told that if the option I go for is to resign and join (as opposed to transfer), monthly pay will increase by around 15%, and annual salary/package can get a sizeable bump (>15% too). However, have to forfeit my years in service and AWS. Worth to go for resign and join in this case?

I’m a diploma holder just started a job with a sb and was wondering if I should take up private degree since Govt say both dip n deg in public service r under the same track. My friend said she has got a friend who is a diploma holder but already an assistant manager in NEA. Would that mean that degree is now not required? Will I be able to reach the same lvl with someone with deg? TIA.

Thanks for the input! Was just wondering if asst mgr is a suitable grading for me considering my past working yrs of experience, or if im being lowballed lol. Am aware some dip holders or fresh to workforce are also given this grade.

The salary is just about right for your YOE. Title can vary from diff ministries to sb.
