Genuinely curious why so many people want to work in civil service when the compensation is so low especially after a few years of experience?
E.g. 5-8 years experience not even clearing 8k basic monthly salary

For many logical reasons. One being many of us chose not to work in the gig sector or beg for social service support during pandemic/adverse economic conditions.
