Lousy education level or cert like private diploma can still find a job in the private sector but canít say the same for public. Public service employs people with standards.

Default MFA pay and progression

What is MFA progression like? Got offered close to 5k for a fresher. In 5 years can really hit 10k+?

Noted but wonít say itís the best. Itís decent compared to many of the jobs in private sector so there is really no need to compare.

I believe what the original poster was trying to say is that many employees in the private sector have seen themselves out at the exit door whenever the economy hits adversely, or the private companies they are working for decided to wind down due to bad business decisions and/or move to another country. When out of job, they ate the humble pie and turn to the gig sector just to make ends meet. Such is the reality of life.
