have you considered applying for higher job positions in other ministries or stat boards? Instead of just waiting to be promoted internally.

would rly appreciate if u dont spread false info.

in the grand scheme of things, especially when it comes to CEP / inter-department individual appraisal rankings, a FCH beats all other honour classes, except for losing to scholars.

to the ppl who said that a FCH needs 11 or more years to reach 7k/mth, either u are drunk or just stuck in a rly rly bad organisation / dept.

a FCH should not and i use the keywords "should not" take more than 8 to 9 years to hit the 7k mark. if u need double digit years to achieve 7k, then clearly ur very screwed up at work, which brings me back to my original point; how did u even achieve your FCH in the 1st place? since almost all FCH holders are known to be smart n hardworking, and that shld apply to them in the workplace as well...

haha. are you trying to demoralise the many FCH who cannot get mx11a in 7 years?
the key is smart and hardworking. not "FCH" as said by yourself.

are you even in public service? there are alot of FCH, masters or even phd who reach mx11a after 35.
like it or not, reaching mx11a within 7 years is possible but rare

fully agree that FCHs have a good career headstart but thereafter its not about academic qualifications anymore to determine progression or promotions.

in general, good performers progress well in civil or public service regardless of academic qualifications, and post-bachelor qualifications are more about domain expertise, specialisation and personal development.

Would also really appreciate if you dont spread false info.

"in the grand scheme of things, especially when it comes to CEP / inter-department individual appraisal rankings, a FCH beats all other honour classes, except for losing to scholars." This is a sweeping statement and totally not true.

The faculty is also pretty important.

Talk about NUS.

A FCH from FASS is pretty much assumed to be average unless proven otherwise. From faculties like eng or law however, those are definitely above average.
