I think COE is part of the "basket of economic goods". With the economy growing at this breakneck speed, prices are definitely going to increase. Ask yourself this question. Are we ever going to see things get cheaper in singapore? You name it, houses, cars, goods and services? Nothing is going to get cheaper which includes the COE. If ever that day comes, humans will turn into angels and start flying.

Need advice from the gurus here. Do you think COE will drop to $2? Should we wait or buy new car now? Since we are in a global crisis, will COE drop to $2? Please advise. Thanks.

I think $2 difficult. But I will settle for $101.

Now is a good time to buy a new car. Cat A COE is only $51k. This is lower than those $90k COEs. So buy your new car now.

$51k COE mean $5.1k pa spent on COE. If your HH income is $100k pa, this mean only $5.1% of income spent on COE. This is cheap. Many forumers here have HH income of more than $100k pa. One old forumer here even claim to have a HH income of $500k pa. So why the big problem of a $51k COE? No big deal at all.

Buy now and pay in full cash. Don't need to take loan.

COE price will go higher due to strong replacement demand.

Those who listened to the guy who said COE will crash to $30k are now regretting because COE prices is recovering higher towards $70k.

Many people rushing to buy now before prices go higher.

Simple answer. REPLACEMENT DEMAND.

which means those who have scrapped their 10 year old cars are coming back to buy new cars to replace their old cars. Don't understand? Go back to school.

CoE has declined from $90k to $50k

I think you are the one who need to go back school.
