Pardon my saying, but looking at your remuneration after 6 yrs of work, you must have low honors or from an "un-recognized" uni.

If that is the case, then looking at the situation positively, can count yourself lucky that they still offer you a job considering they are a top notched research agency

Coupled with their 35% President we Singaporeans are the ones ultimately paying the price, from overwhelmed public infrastructure and housing.

I would rather them sort things out in Parliament through rigorous debate rather than degenerate into a rubber stamp institution. Wouldn't you have wished this was the case when the treasonous FT policy and housing supply bills were "discussed" in Parliament >10years ago?

The AIM saga might have little to do with typical apathetic Singaporean lives but if you constantly allow the white lords to get away with doing anything they want to this island we're not going to progress much either. We're already getting our jobs robbed from us, our transport overwhelmed and our public flats invaded. I can't see anything worse/better than our current situation.
You have to be fair. Using terms like "white lords" and "treasonous FT policy" seem extremely prejudiced. I'm not a big fan of the PAP but i sincerely believe many of the current batch of ministers do have the nation's future at heart. The country is definitely doing something right for such an influx of people from so many countries coming here to set up their home.

I'm predicting that in the next elections the PAP is going to lose a lot more seats. Just look in your facebook feed and your alternative media - filled with accusations, bickering and anger-mongering. A situation where its 50-50 is not unimaginable within the next decade. This is where i fear our nation is going to go down the populist track where its easier to just go with the whims and fancies of the populace (just like in the US) than doing what's right for the country.

We need more moderates in this country, not extremists (such as, perhaps, yourself). With extremists come polarisation, distrust and disunity. This will never be good for the future of Singapore.

NTU 2nd Upper
If I am 1st Class, excellent rating in 2011, estimate ~59k/yr

"Top Notch" Research Agency
= Singapore's National Research Agency, the one with a Star in the logo.
