Mid 50s, retired couple.
Sold our landed property. Made good profit. Bought a condo as our retirement home.
Debt free.
Use our cash and CPF to spend for our early retirement.
Our CPF Life will give us $4k plus per month at 65.

The economic outlook in 2023 is not good, probably should wait till 2024.

Quite low?? How much do you think you should get with 3 years experiences? If I am your employer, I doubt I will give people like you even 7K. When you want pay rise, firstly, you should what you can contribute and what you have achieved in the last 3 years, not just some number you imagine you should get.

Yeah but that's your friend right? Not you?

Your friend is most likely a better employee than you. I got friends earning 20-30k also in HRT firms from same uni same course as me, same GPA etc, does that mean I also deserve 20-30k? no lol.

You're delusional but good luck with your job hopping.

We are an early 50s professional couple. We plan to retire at 55 after downgrading from our condominium unit to a four-room HDB flat. We should get a net $500k after the transactions. We will collect CPF of $200k. So we will have $700k to utilise for our spending from 55 to 65. At 65 onwards until we die, we will receive $5000 pm or $60k pa. Our spending will be about $3.5k pm or $42k pa.
