many people make the stupid mistake of working so hard all their lives. they suddenly died and not enjoying a single day of retirement. all their fortune goes to their children who will spend it away.

118k all in doing program mgmt in big tech, 29 Male this year (3 year exp).
Went Poly + 4yr Uni. Local grad (Info Sys), average performer - some big projects but never a deans lister. Joined consulting out of uni. Salaries are all-in, including bonuses.
Year 1: 55k
Year 2 (promotion): 89k
Year 3 (jumped to current firm): 118k
currently contemplating a move back into consulting but higher tier ( mbb)

Er no? I worked my ass off for 5years. Started from 0 in my bank acc right after NS. Come from single parent family. Just becos u cant do it doesnt mean others cant. And i believe there are many others better than me. Started my trade with a rolex submariner. And also some careful leverage investing. Just sharing as i see many here with great accomplishments. Mine is nothing 🤣
