how is that high? fresh grad salary for jp morgan chase (technology) is already paying 60k p.a

Im just a Dip holder, work in stat board straight after NS. Just lucky to land a job in stat board despite having a local Diploma.

You are right that it is not common that a 25 yo earns $60k pa but it is not unheard of either.
1st class engineering fresh grads (male with ns & from local uni) are already commanding such salaries with some stat boards, civil service departments and the uniform groups.
At $5k monthly salary and a 3 months performance bonus (average), they are looking at the first year income of $80k (=5k x (12 months + 13th month + 3 months bonus)), ie $5k x 16 months total.
And engineering grads are not among the highest starting salaries professions. So $60k pa salaries for 25 yo, though not common, is not entirely surprising either.
