Base salary wise across companies should be around the same, usually for all the high salary in tech mostly is given via stocks, that is spread across x number of years which also usually appreciate (for FAANG). If the base/cash salary is that high then many people cannot BTO already.

Just a relative comparison between 100k and work 30 hrs per week versus 200k and 50 hrs per week.

I think the guy talking about Singapore being purgatory is right, the smart lawyers have diversified out into politics/tech where the pay is better.
