I understand the concept of "not being able to understand" what one has never ever seen or experienced and therefore you find the idea of a pay check of $260k at 31 implausible. Why? Because I have crossed oceans across weird worlds and interacted with both sides who are equally ignorant about everybody else. So I know what people are like and what they're capable of knowing and more or less what they know on average, relative to their social status.

Happy believing your delusion about your existence here in the microstate that isn't even the reality of 99% of people worldwide.

This line is very typical and its the common line of SG frog in the well (aka perspective from birth ie microstate). I have heard it as well many times here (including from my aunts). My relative and other Sinkies have said the same weird things: "Oh Must be very far away". Hahaha I hate to disappoint you frogs. It isn't. It simply isn't. If not, ask that guy who lived in Boston before please. LOL. Lets have him speak. In any US metro area, the nearest supermarket, shopping district, etc is less than 3 minutes drive away. That's the funny thing but they have no idea because they grew up in a microstate so the idea of urban vs suburban vs rural is foreign to them so they don't know the difference between suburban and rural. When I was abroad, I lived one minute drive from the supermarket and stores of my county, much closer than anywhere in the microstate. Also, driving is different in experience outside microstates. Parking lots are abundant. When you zip into a parking lot in the US of A, its like 10 lots to 1 car. Zip and then we're in. Driving is so awesome its elevated to a relaxation form - aka the Road Trip which was invented in America.
No stress like here, hunting for one lot circling round and round stressfully, kinda pathetic. Cars in America are huge, average cylinder of cars in the US is 2.5 to 3 liters. We just zip around in our super big vehicles that are able to carry our boats, ATV, other lifestyle equipment for our weekend at the ski slope or the lake near by.

Don't even lie about the situation here. I know Singaporeans - most in fact- who don't live near the closest supermarket and yet they have to endure their revolting gross neighbors that's frigging right next door just 2 meters away. Most of you need to take this thing called "feeder bus". Don't even lie.

Considering the region of the world we are thick with corruption and violence I reckon this "Microstate" has done a pretty good job in creating one of world's most successful economics and took care of its people (hey least we don't owe other nations trillions of dollars). I am sure if both Malaysia and Indonesia were populated with majority white people we could all hold hands and kumbaya run across the border without so much as a police car in sight.

I get you hate the "condo" man as much as we do, but simply slandering the people of the country you work in is just gross arrogance. We're all human and everyone wants a better life for them self be it (Singapore) HDB-> EC -> Condo -> Landed or (US) Ghetto-> Nicer Ghetto -> Suburb. Everyone is greedy, how else did the sub prime come about?

BTW 80% of the 99% of people worldwide outside of this microstate would gladly come to this microstate if they had the chance.

In the real world, the people who live like you are the ghetto (mostly black) under-privileged poor people.
