I am born in dragon year 1976, age 36 this year, here are the benchmark if you are at this age - sample taken from hcjc classmates
Engineers - 5-6k ( senior enginner)
Banking - 12-18k ( vp level)
Doctors - 10-15k ( gp, or specialist at associate consultant level)
Lawyers - 15k ( junior partner)
Accountant - 10k (senior manager at big4)
Actuary - 12k (passed exam, at fellowship level)

Dont think they are working backoffice - their namecards say equity research, model validation, hedge fund sales, private banking

Civil service - 9k (deputy director level , scholar)
Lecturer in poly - 7k
Teacher- 6k ( HOD level)
Compliance in insurance firm - 8k ( manager level)
Study phd in nus - 2.5k allowance
