General psychiatry vs geriatric psychiatry.
Hello,
I'm just starting in residency in USA but my girlfriend is in Singapore and I want to look into moving to Singapore in 4 or 5 years. I have a few questions.
1) If I am board certified in Psychiatry by American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology will I be able to go directly to full registration?
2) Would i benefit from a significant salary boost if I do one year of geriatric fellowship in US vs going to Singapore with just an adult psychiatry residency background.
3) How many years would I be required to work in the public before allowed to work in the private sector?
Thanks for reading and for your input.

Singapore PR for junior doc
Anyone know if applying for a PR is possible at the HO/MO level? am thinking of residing/working in Sg for the long-term.
Im aware that as a foreign trained medical student (Malaysian graduating from melbourne) i will lose my housing allowance if I become a PR. Just want to know if the option is there or not. would appreciate anyone's experience/advice
Cheers

You could be looking at somewhere around SGD 400-450k per annum (inclusive of bonuses and other allowances).... But it really depends on how many years you are post graduate and the vacancy of the hospital... Also bonuses in Singapore is performance driven so good performance = higher earnings and increments

Radiologist consultant salary?
With a collapsing US radiology market, I applied as a consultant at the new Jurong hospital to open 2014. I am interviewing next week and wondering what salary range i should expect. I have 21 years of experience in US university-affiliated hospitals. Thanks in advance..
