In the whole scheme of things, doctors belong to the worker class and cannot scale

Drs are losers. these days if you smart you will NOT do healthcare. Go see all the rich and successful people. They get their kids be Dr? No way. Even the Drs themselves will tell kids go do something else.
The govt and society will want to continue to perpetuate the myth of all the good things financially and morally and ethically and all that rubbish to con people to do medicine. We still need someone to do the job right? But the reality is nobody wants to pay for it. Not the gahment. Not the insurance companies. Not even the patients themselves. So over the long run salaries will fall compared to inflation.
You see how in another 20 years.

mid 30s still young is possible.

Once hit 40s then too late already.

Those who spend effort and time to get those letters like MMED MRCS MMED SURG MRCP etc they all stuck cos invested so much of their lives already very sayang to give it up. it's a TRAP!!!!

Get out when you can. and for those smart students they already KNOW not to go into medicine. Those dumb ones or very guai ones listen to parents will be the ones become drs. Those parents are the stupid ignorant ones condemn their kids.

Seriously, want to help people many ways one. No need so dumb be dr tied up with all these rules and regulations and ethics and politics.

Go be insurance/financial advisor also good. Help people too. Father go work get heart attack you sold insurance you save the family. Prop agent you help people find good condo unit at good price they thank you kum sia. Or help people sell their HDB good price they happy.

Work in bank, help clients invest make money during bull run all happy collect bonus. During bear market go low a bit. Or advise go with dividend counters.

Many ways to help people. Don't be dumb elephant go into healthcare. You kena virus die you are just a number.
