OP wants a "chill and simple life".

Is this what they sell when choosing med school?

Come come join and becone a dr for chill and sinple life?

At medical school interview if asked why do you want to be a dr?

Because I want a chill and simple life. See if they choose you or not.

Brother, med school interview take place at 19 years. Most working people doing residency are late 20s or 30s.
People priorities and goals can change in 1 year, let alone 10 years...(this is for people of all walks of life, not just medicine btw)

Proof that interview systen dont work
In news recently some drs shouldnt be drs in the first place
Priorities change?
Then dont be dr. Do other work?
Most clinical work is not chill and sinple
Maybe be locum one or two days a week?
Most professionals are busy and stressful work in their own way
Perhaps move to Australia to find chill and simple?
Singapore hard life everywhere no matter what you do too
Priorities change of course....

Ask the ‘residents’ then why they like this.

GDFM work to the bone to clear their patients.

Question Life of Associate Consultant in public hospital

I am not a doctor nor in medical field. But I’m curious what is the life of an Associate Consultant in SG public hospital. What do they do daily? Other than attending to patients at Outpatient Specialist Clinic, what do they does when they don’t have outpatient clinic duty? Also, will they be on-call by Emergency department? Thanks!

Housemanship will realize their folly and what they have truly gotten themselves into

I received different accounts from friends who are dentists so I hope someone here can help

Are dentists raking it in?
For those who graduate from NUS and finish their bond, is more training (ie grad diploma) required for them to do braces?

Or are dentists qualified to handle braces the moment they graduate?

Ask the dentists. Why ask drs qns related to dentistry?
Obviously you wont get good answers here.
But I would say yes dentists are raking it in.
Braces is orthodontist work. Is a speciaty. Need extra training. Not general dentistry.

Smile Gift from patient

According to Ethical code and ethical guidelines from SMC, we may accept an occasional well intentioned and modestly valued gift in the patient-doctor relationship. If gift is in the range of $10-$20, does it imply that I can accept without needing to declare?
