Why would anyone wanna be GPs when you can easily earn double the amount, doing half the work? As an aesthetic doctor. Very possible even if you are an employee (working for a large chain). Don’t even need to open own clinic.

Not everyone cut out to be aesthetics ma, just like not everyone can be surgeon. I am more GP person, so just have to look for the best deal for my capabilities lo.

true, unfortunately they have had 35% paycut since 2008. scotland got 12.4% payrise. R2/R3 equivalent junior reg salary is about 60-70k GBP after on call in scotland.
if you live north england, wales, scotland or northern ireland it is still manageable to buy a house although mortgage interest rate is close to 6% now. but still an exaggeration that you cant pay your own rent as a doctor in the UK unless you live in zone 1 London
