And now I Failed again in final year!
Parents are very supportive of me since young, they paid for me to study international school and I have been spending a comfortable life in Australia since start of medical school.
Been staying in a private studio and taking Uber almost everywhere, spending like $3000/month on food/transport, not including the school fees 85000/year and accommodation costs at 30000/year.
I feel guilty of spending so much money but having so much failures in my academic journey.
Parents are both semi-retired law partners, they just want me to repeat final year again and pass. They even ask me not to worry too much and just study. But I am worried I will fail again and even if I pass, what if I burn out during HO year in Singapore?

You come from rich family. No worries.
Finish the final MBBS.
But dont be Dr. Dont do HO.
Quit medicine after you get MBBS.
Passing exams is one thing. (Which you find hard already)
Working as dr is terrible life.
Maybe you go do law after. Then be those lawyer defend or prosecute drs.

Fastest way to be a specialist with minimal effort:
1. Enrol in a 5 year medicine course overseas that’s recognised by both Singapore and US.
(Best to choose a school that supports the USMLE curriculum)
2. Sit for the USMLEs
3. Match into Emergency Medicine/Neurology/Psychiatry/Anesthesiology
4. Return to Singapore as an AC after only 3/4/4/4 years of training respectively

Why go back to SG?
But must admit salary in SG is MUCH HIGHER. And low low tax.

I'm kinda new to this forum; I'll come here on and off read some posts and chuckle to myself (it's quite funny the things some of u guys say)
anyway im 34 male and a fresh AC in a rather desirable specialty
pay is ~20k per month (add another 1-2k for calls)
including bonuses i think i'll hit abt 300k for my first-year AC work
its obviously a huge jump from SR days (mine was before the recent salary increment)
in comparison to other fellow ACs in other specs i think im at the higher end
the downside is my spec has a lower ceiling and i will eventually plateau at about 400-450k as senior con (not trying to humble brag as we are all drs here but its the truth)
as for life as an AC - it is TOUGH
lots of work, responsibility and **** from higher ups
i tell myself i will only get more competent and better at what i do as time goes by and life will be easier.... and i try to console myself by telling myself im decently paid (kinda sad i know)

He is talking rubbish.
As a Psych AC I am only getting paid around $180,000-$200,000/year,,,
Some of my AC friends in surgical specialities get paid around $30,000-$50,000 more, around $200,000-$230,000/year

From what I have heard in public sector
Surgical Consultant around 480k a year
Non surgical consultant 300k a year
OPS consultant 240k a year
Is this correct?
In private sector is where things go crazy. $1m a year....
