Strategy arms of big 4 (strategy&, monitor Deloitte, ey Parthenon) defo better. But if you’re saying just big 4 (PwC, EY, Kpmg, Deloitte) side, their consulting (mgmt, tech, risk, finance, etc etc) aren’t that good. Pay not good, perks not good, brand name not as good as it’s own strategy arm and compared to others.
So if get offer from big 4 strategy arms, of cos all will choose it. But if it’s just the normal big 4 offering consulting roles, then it’s the last consideration honestly, cos going to acn consulting or even business analyst is still better than the normal consulting under big 4 in terms of pay, brand name, projects.

This dude here really bodoh sia, “only” take in private Uni students, please have a look how many local Uni grads (even fch and scholars) flock there too. If you’re in local Uni, are you calling your counterparts dumb then? If you categorise a company as bad just cos they hire private Uni students too, then big wow to you dude, there’s many companies who hired private Uni students too. Need me to name some? Well here you go, AWS, ACN, JP Morgan, Credit Suisse, BOA, UBS, (even investment banking). Pls even MBB also hired private Uni grad before ok (of cos these students went on to pursue masters after they grad).
What about you then? This just goes to show how dumb you are to be saying how a company suck cos they hire certain students. Then what other companies are you left with that don’t hire private Uni students? Go apply for those then, cos no good companies or wanna hire you. Prob that’s why you’re still jobless LOLL. It really proves you’re jobless cos you seem to be the same poster who went on this rant on how acn is bad cos it hires private Uni students too on the acn thread. Make sure you say to the company they you interview in that they are bad even if they hire one pri uni student.
Please upgrade yourself and change your way of thinking. If not you’re gonna be stuck in this shithole for life. Instead of being inferior and bringing others down to uplift yourself, it actually just reflects badly on you.

Don’t need to entertain this poster, waste time only. Let him talk to himself.
Whatever sch you come from, once you pass the resume screening stage, no one gives a **** of which sch you grad from, let alone once you’re on the job, promotion depends on your performance only. That narrow minded brain of his won’t get him far in his career, will any company wanna promote such person who will “mentor” the juniors.

Is strategy in banks considered prestigious too? Don’t see them being rank in any of the tiers.
Same also for Microsoft consulting services (didn’t know there’s such a thing but came across a job posting for fresh grads on this 😱

Ensuring you remain in or get promoted is competitive and not easy. Everyone knows the culture at McK, BCG, Bain… it’s either up or out. So not much career stability, but guess if you have the right skills you won’t have an issue finding a job even if you’re out, definitely can downgrade to lower tiers like big 4
