Why settle for being buay kan? In a few years time your friends will start to become partners, GC or regional legal counsel while you're still slaving away as a peon. Then you'll feel inferior.

Unless you're a girl, in which case just snag a rich husband and go the typical sinkie gold-digging female route.

this is why I say law should be taught at the JD and not LLB level in Singapore. Too many slacker and unmotivated lawyers running about pulling down the quality of our profession. A fully post-grad law system will weed out those kids who don't genuinely want to be lawyers and excel in this field

I understand that the official position is that covid is not a dangerous disease, but is anyone else worried when reading foreign media about catching covid and developing cognitive problems which may impede our legal careers? Does the average health insurance cover for long covid symptoms which will adversely affect our income as lawyers?

Yeah but isn’t it like any other illness that one may get and the long term effects of it?
Like working 18h a day in big law may lead to stroke, heart disease and long term effects. Surely these are more debilitating.

While you can control for working 18h a day to reduce your risk of stroke, heart disease, you cannot reduce your risk of catching covid as its a government-level directive whether or not to open up or CB.

WFH takes away the fun part of work - admiring nature’s greatest beauties such as my young juniors. Anyone knows how to cure the loneliness?

She joined Dentons Rodyk recently. They are a serious contender in the R&I space especially with her joining. s://dentons.rodyk.com/en/debby-lim

does anyone know what happens when you forget to submit a document in your final submission folder for part b fms? will it result in a fail grade or does the mentor/student resubmit the missing document? just trying to get some clarity on how fms is being assessed, thank you!

Don’t worry about it! Just inform your FMS tutor asap and resubmit it. FMS is quite chill one haha
