Doesn’t matter. As long as you are from NUS you should be given priority than others from subpar schools.

What do y’all think are the more niche areas of law under corp side that won’t become obsolete after AI intervenes?

Nah. NUS should be placed last. It's a degree mill, and its "academic rigour" has only produced graduates who can read law textbooks and mugger's notes, without more. In practice, they're useful as warm bodies. No EQ and no creative thinking.

Speaking as an NUS grad who has been in practice for some time.

Most areas of corporate practice will remain relevant, especially if the practice is good and handles complex transactions. In the foreseeable future, AI is only to automate transactions which can be carried out by low-level, unskilled lawyers (i.e. HDB resale transactions, etc.). AI will not be able to process complex corporate transactions, at least for the foreseeable future.

Hi, I am a student too. I am also curious about the current salaries for NQs listed by the above poster, as well as (4) Dentons Rodyk & Davidson LLP. Grateful for any advice. Thank you!
