How many weeks of vacation does the typical associate in an international firm have?

Are there specific practice areas which are more competitive / lucrative in Singapore?

Thanks again.
In general, most lucrative corp depts = M&A or financing. Financing is way more boring, but easier to move out because it's a smaller crop. I prefer M&A cause the work is more interesting + you have more variety to choose from.

I'm 5-6 years PQE (intentionally being unclear here so that harder to find me) in a tech company.

General payscale after job hunting for a long time before current role is:

Local company, listed or not listed doesn't matter - 8-10k, a month or 2 bonus at max
Manufacturing or retail MNC - 10-15k, same bonus as above, may have some equity
Startup not-listed on exchange - very big range. from 8k to 17k, always some equity involved, if listed, equity easy to dispose and cash out. not much bonus.
listed tech company - 12-22k. small bonus, some equity.

I've seen lots of variance in the start ups and big listed tech companies. Some roles in tech companies pay low, some high, but general trend is equity is offered

How is the market for Corporate Tax or Wealth Management?

It really depends on what your experience is when moving in-house and how much (or little) you can bring to the table.

I will also say that these figures are very much pre-covid figures and you should moderate your expectations downwards slightly (approx. 10%).

Default offshore magic circle salaries

I have a senior who followed this career path.

3 yrs in Singapore in litigation and trusts (I think)
2 yrs in Shanghai @ Harneys offshore
2 yrs in Hong Kong @ Walkers offshore

I am interested in offshore practice like him and would like some feedback on the salary progression of this person.

any speculation on how much must he be making now or when he was at harneys?
