SMH. Big law firms should have this policy to only accept people from NUS.

Fk all the degree millers and the firms who hire them on the basis that they’re so called more “international”.

What a joke. If u dun get 2.2 u not fit for them. But then they hire these other non sg called from unlisted universities and then have these FPMETs "review" and coach and revise work done (yes singapore law work) by true advocates and solicitors of the supreme court. Case in point baker mckenzie. Minlaw shd wake up and do their checks n see if there is any breach of gaming the system

Havent you realised by now... there is one guy making these posts trying to create the impression there's a general animosity against the foreign grads.. when it's really some NUS 2:2 failure who cant secure a TC bitching here.......

all my B4 friends who are high 2:1 or 1st class couldnt give less of a **** about whether it's fair to let foreign grads back... they've never affected our opportunities because we are also capable and actually studied hard in school.

really, this guy is such a loser.

Not true. If you can't even enter that level of barrier to entry in the very first place (i.e getting into NUS law) then you shouldn't be competing with us. I have many other nus law friends who share the same sentiments as me; that degree millers should not even have opportunities or even be given internships to step foot into any big firms.

Also, being in NUS law is a long-standing pride in Singapore. If we let these people erode our opportunities then we are shaming the pride that our alumni has built over the years.

big firms meaning local big 4? sure. I agree.

When I went to kings I was fully intent on not coming back. Come back to slave away working 90 hours a week for a 6k+ starting? fuk off lmao. My MC trainee salary was higher than your 2PQE assoc.

Truth is, the overseas grads who go to SG to steal your jobs are the ones who failed here in the UK. So have fun grouching about it, to us here you guys look like beggars fighting over scraps by the side of the road

Haha no, I graduated from a degree mill and had London TCs. Came back to sg instead because of several reasons such as high taxes and family obligations. Also, I’m almost making it to SA in big four right now and the partnership path is easier here.
