paralegalling isn't as glam here as it is in the us/uk. over here paralegalling means you either got the tp diploma or you are a jiu hu kia with llb from some unpronounceable uk village.

if gap cos u cant part a or b then forget about law

if gap cos u doing smu jd and had previous career do apply for b4 and mc they love ppl like that

Whyre you assuming good location only equals enjoying amenities near the office, when determining where to train. Narrow minded much...looks like you can’t even be from Dundee at this rate.

Law degree really useless outside the (dead) legal industry, applied for many non-law jobs civil and private sector nobody entertain. Heard from recruiters many jobless lawyers now. Any lawyers turned grab driver/grabfood or safe distancing ambassadors here?

that’s true insofar as what recruiters are saying.
There was a glut but it was supposed to resolve by now.
Considering that there are no longer any new graduates from the delisted unis after 2018.
The problem that current grads are facing is not bcos of the delisted issue.
It’s caused by an economic slowdown. Law is very dependent on businesses, economy to work, so that there’s ancillary work to do.

I heard Baker Mckenzie has virual internships. And they very gungho about asking interns to go out during Covid 19. One of the buddy mentors from the technology practice even wanted organise get together outside. Is that even allowed by MOM

Heard tt too. And tt guy is not singapore qualified n came from some uni overseas not recognised by minlaw in the act. Yet for training contracts they insist on good unis?! N got some rep tt he just shoves promotion work to young trainees and interns and then pass off as his own.
