Yes, but don’t compare NUS to SMU. Not the same at all.
An SMU grad who decides to do a LLM at LSE to add pedigree is totally understandable for reasons mentioned in the posts above.
An NUS grad who decides to do a LLM at a school other than HYOC is unforgivable to say the least. You don’t do a LLM except at HYOC.

NUS is WAY ahead of SMU. Oxbridge is definitely > SMU.
NUS is definitely not > Oxbridge: arguments might be made for parity but that’s about as far as it goes. NUS is definitely > LSE/UCL because NUS admissions is 3x more restrictive than LSE/UCL.
Only right in the Singapore Law context.

Prospects wise in both international and SG law firms (combined) Cam/Ox/LSE/UCL likely better than NUS. Same reasoning as above. No one is likely to care about your prowess in Singapore law alone in an international law firm.

Prospects wise in SG law firms (solo) - NUS = Oxbridge(?)/LSE/UCL/SMU

Prospects wise in international law firms (solo) - Oxbridge/LSE/UCL/NUS/SMU

NUS admissions say nothing about prospects. The admission rate means jack when candidate profile is the same (your straight As, HCI/RI person). So does QS rankings, since that involves international repute.

Default Legal Executive Salary

I have been offered a Legal Executive role pending my call to the Bar in August. I have been offered $2800/month until August. Am I being lowballed? I believe the Big 4 awards legal execs about $3500 pending call?

Okay fair. Ridiculous when NUS = SMU.

Gosh. Not too long ago legal execs get full assoc pay pending call.

And wow the amount of talk of university prestige is mind boggling even when there are reasonable posts by actual practising lawyers that it doesn’t matter. Personally know of several delisted uni students in active practice across mid sized, big4, SC, MC and US firms. Don’t write yourself off.

Those who got in through connections not counted by the way.
And some firms are notoriously known to take in grads wholesale with connections.

Say CEO X sends his daughter to LSE because she cannot get into NUS.
She doesn’t want to go to SMU for reasons mentioned above.
CEO X is CEO of listed MNC, A Co.

A Co retains a big four firm to provide retained legal services, Firm G.
Daughter comes back to SG with no TC for obvious reasons again.
CEO X calls up his contact at Firm G. Partner at Firm G readily accepts CEO X’s daughter with an interview purely for formality.

Get the picture?
