When you are at your earning peak, advice is too spend wisely, save prudently and if possible invest in something you are familiar with. This is so that you can have buffer funds when you are out of job.
Frankly speaking, not much to bargain for the salary as foreigner already pull down the salary in sg... will be lucky if can get at least same pay as previous job.

Smile Jobless for six months

Unemployed for 6 months. No interview if got also rejected after that. F up life. Well
Folks, don’t give up. Fins come
Time to relax, sell some stuff on carousel or do part time job. People like friends or family may judge you but they can’t help much so be it. Life is yours. No need to be so concern about other ppl! Be happy and don’t give up. I quit six months ago cos I cannot stand doing night shifts. A civil servant. Well life goes on, nobody will help you except yourself. Anyone also same fate as me? Hahaha

Bro don't give up! You will find a job soon.

I left my civil servant job 4 months ago. Not too sure how long will it take for me to find full time job, but I guess i will exceed the 6 months mark.

Different people faced different circumstances in life I guess.

Maybe leaving without a job is the best solution given the circumstances they were in.

Fully agreed. There are some toxic organizations or toxic teams that make it impossible to stay.

Why did you guys leave your civil service jobs?

Am currently a 2 months old into my job in public service... Although boss is very micro-manage crazy, everything else still can endure..

4 months jobless.

worked at my company for 3.5 years and was asked to resign. company business wasnt doing well, had to cut salary for almost 10 months. just when they resumed back to original salary, i was asked to leave. knn....boss kept the junior executives because they were 'cheaper' to hire. before that, still asked me to "do my best to help company pull thru the tough times"...i volunteered everytime the managers didnt want to do all the **** work, and all i get is this.

and so, i gave myself a period of 2 months + to take a break before i start to find a job. in these 2 mths got recruiter called...but nothing went thru.

after the second month, i started to seriously send out resume liao. no response.
got recruiter call me go for interview, that one also no respond.

my savings can tide me thru for a long time, but now at my 4th month of being jobless....im starting to feel the hopelessness kick in liao. just hoping i can get a job within the next 2 months by next february.

PS: im in the backend fashion retail industry...
