Only have themselves to blame lor. Why they all never go FAANG or some eng company like Indeed. Indeed kenna retrench still suka suka walk into GovTech.
I thought last 2 years overflowing with tech jobs close 1 eye also can land FAANG role. Close 2 eyes maybe 1 tier below FAANG.

Thoughts on being an SM in IHIS?
Hi all,
Need some advice.
Background: CS degree
YOE: 8+
Current coy: European medtech mnc
Current role: Solutions eng
I was hinted a potential offer will look like this, no nego firm.
8500
12m basic + 1m CPB + 2m PB (estimated for avg performer)
JG7 SM
Backend PM/programmes coordination, with non-swe scope and no apps support scope, sounds like typical office role instead of ground support
Based on experience working with people from IHIS JG4-5, seems their work load is insane.
1. Apart from red tape, slow work pace, how about corporate side? Also as toxic?
2. SM level still subjected to being shtted on as badly as lower ranks?
3. Seems like IHIS is a massive pyramid with never ending need of warm bodies at JG4-5 to run the ground since high turnover rate. How "high" up on the hierarchy is SM in the organisation?
4. Turnover rate for SM also as high?
5. Promotion to AD estimates? Was told 2-3 years but im having my doubts.
Thanks.

As mentioned by the other poster, HR is blowing smoke up your arse.
PB for B+ (or 2+ by their nomenclature) performer is 2.5mths.
Promotion-wise, you can get graded B or B+ for 3 or 4 years and still be stuck there. Unless you are in a dept with very high turnover, which is a problem in and of itself. All down to luck.

Thanks for your comments.
1. If its no longer 2 months, how much to expect for the average performer? Seems weird they said it'll be 2 month
2. Firmly no nego 8500, despite all justifications made (in fact getting a pay cut from current role, but coy reorg hence need a job desperately and got housing loan to repay). Is 8500 too far off?
3. Any idea what to expect as an SM in the company?
Thanks again.

Grade B+ is 2.5months PB. You work backwards to guesstimate how much avg performer (C grade) will get.

Can see around page 51 52 there to see ppl posting about avg performer grade 3. Now is 1.5 to 1.8months PB only. Don't get bluff by HR.

It is around 1.5. I think this forum gave enough comments on the culture and why ppl want to leave. Now it is how much u need a job to sustain urself. 2 cents

Thanks for all your advice. I crawled through all 61 pages but found most comments talking about technical track peeps and less about mgmt track / back office roles, hence ended up asking about this. I don't have other options now and this position seems to have the most potential.. dilema dilema..

Job application process
Has anyone else experienced this situation? The talent acquisition specialist assured me that they would call to check on the progress of the hiring process, but it's been two weeks, and I haven't received that call. Is this a typical occurrence? Additionally, the job application indicates 'Requisition Closed (ext)'; could you please clarify what this signifies?
