I read that in civil service for some roles there is a specialist track and leadership track.
How do you determine which one you get to go on? Would they ask you? Is this decided during interview or based on your progress (CEP)?

If your current role has been identified as a specialist role, your bosses, together with HR, would have spoken to you regarding job expectations, job title, learning and
development roadmap, and career opportunities.

The waiting game with a stat board
I received a verbal offer from the stat board 1 week ago.. i have been waiting for LOA since. How long will it take before they send the LOA? HR did say will send by this week but no response to my follow up. Should i start looking else where as i was looking out actively?

Week +2 – Panel interview (I had to reschedule)
Week + 5 – Attended rescheduled panel interview. Contacted by HR a couple of days later that the hiring dept was interested to proceed w hiring. HR requested for salary info and referee details. Was told to complete some online assessments
Week +8 – HR requested for previous employment’s referees
Week +10 – Radio silence from HR. Sent an email chaser, told to wait for their update
Week +14 – Received verbal offer from HR
Week +15 – Accepted verbal offer
Week +16 – Received LOA
Pending: pre-employment medical check.
All the best to those in the same boat as me!

I wrote in to ask the HR, HR mention they are still rescheduling with the hiring team, will let me know once they have the date and time.
Recently when I write in again, they mention understand there’s new development ti this post. What does it meant by new development to this post?

Should be 12 Sept. CS always pay the month in advance. Sept pay covering 1 to 30 Sept will be paid on 12 Sept.
