Common practice in private sector though, if CPF is personal, technically HR can't check, else there will be a lot of data leaks. I guess we can only know if anyone happen to be a HR from gov/stat board here lol....

Usually public sectors have their own pay scale.

ya same. One of them also said "oh we only got 1 slot but we will take our time to choose. If you don't hear back in 1 month you can email us to find out"

If you have this kind of character and will do such things. My advice is don’t try public sector. You will likely get into jail for other illegal instances. It’s nvr worth it to lie or try to cover up for anything..
