Be patient, the whole o&g industry is devastated by oil prices now. Hiring at all 3 refineries Shell, EM, SRC all slow down.

Comparable to most refineries. Technical in the range of 2.5-2.7k, fix bonus 5.5mths inc aws.

my advice to others is dun anyhow join o&g co just because they offer u a bit more. the whole industry is nearly collapsing. the small / med ones mostly bankrupt or limbo, even the blue chips like keppel & sembcorp struggling to survive. super big players like exxon & shell although not likely to bankrupt also laying off and cutting pay & bonus to stay afloat.

Do you know how long shell will get back to you after you done the aptitude test?? Anybody have any experience ?like will they call u or email u about the result ?

wait for at least 1 month, if no reply then call & ask. shell hr is famous for low efficient, screw up here & there.

Upstream affected due to oil over supply.

Downstream like refineries still needed for your lube oil, for your petrol.

And bonus is never affected. Will still get ur minimum aws 3 months. And em or shell dun anyhow lay off ppl unless u really cmi. Em and shell still hiring quite extinsively. Shell still need abt 30 process tech at bukom. Em i think another batch coming in June abt 20 perhaps. Now interviews are going on from what my friend said.

So dun anyhow say bonus cut when u dunno anything ah.
