Technician petrochemical
I referred to a friend in ExxonMobil and this is what I can share regarding a 8-5 job maintenance technician salary structure. For shift hours.. Im not sure.
AWS-Fixed 3 months.
Variable Bonus - Range from 2 months or ++, Maybe like 2.2,2.3...
Long term allowance - $100 per month?
As for gross salary. Diploma Experienced.. Min 1900-2100...
With annual increments based on performance ranging from $100-$300..
Technicians can progress further with a long time career..
Lets say u start from trainee with a gross of $1700.. As you progress to Senior,, Your salary can reach $3000-$4000+!!
I belief Shift technicians will be able to earn more due to shift allowances, OT, etc..

this is something new to me since i have been looking into EM salary structure since 2007.
no wonder they can get 80-90k/annum after 3 years in EM

Yup. The operations technicians fellas with shift allowances will command a higher salary scale compared to the maintenance technicians(8-5) working hours.
Quite many benefits working in ExxonMobil. With reasonably good overtime claims for meals and transports as well.
Can anyone share the benefits of a process technician with Shell?
Is the remuneration benefits scale similar to ExxonMobil?

that mean all the time my friends(degree engineer) in EM have been cheating me about their annual package??
All the while since 2007, I have been only inform EM annual package (12mth base + 1 aws + fix 3mths bonus regardless of economy/company performance) = 16 mth Fix.
then suddenly someone here said that it is
12mth base + 3 fix aws + 2-3 bonus = 17-18mth salary
on top of that the last time I heard the starting salary for degree engineer is about 3650 basic, and they also have monthly saving or top up scheme 5 % of basic salary.
eg, basic 3650 + 182.5(5% saving scheme) etc

Technician Pay (General)
Realised that technician across industries for fresh is quite low. This is excluding stat board / ministries.
General Range:
Basic Starting Pay nitec / diploma: 1250 to 1800
Allowance: 100 to 100
Exxon gives the highest starting pay for a fresh grad.
