What exactly did you expect, asking in salary.sg forum? Pretty self-selecting audience here. 😂

Additionally, those two aims aren't actually mutually exclusive…

public expects people of a certain job to be saints, take low or no salary, no need progression. in their mind, such people no need to have family, partner, or even a life in general.

next time let's not call these people teachers. let's just call them "teaching volunteers" okay?

OP, would you like to VOLUNTEER your time and energy to be a teacher?

i will kneel, bow, burn incense and worship you as a god if you're willing to do so

impact is made reaching out to students one on one - that leaves little time to climb the ladder

Munchen is on a distinguished road
Default IT allowance

I want to ask is it true that MOE teachers get a $500 cash credited into September payroll?

If teachers manage to get this salary cap at 30 years old while working GEO5 workload, sure they should feel no resentment.

But are they?

Stop lumping all teachers into the salaries of GEO5 ceiling or SEO range and accusing them of being overpaid and underworked.

Current increment formula for average performer.. how long does it take to reach that? Probably more than half of their career.

2000s and early 2010s teachers had it best. These people are at or very close to the ceiling already. Late 2010s new teachers? Still sucking thumb at geo3!
