FAJTs are in abundance. They make up for the numbers but its still not enough manpower. and FAJTs refused to set paper, already dont have CCAs/FT/committee. To put salt on wound, some were SEOs who now draw higher pay compared to current GEO3s.
So righteous of U to stay!

Wha, now teachers who cause traffic accident can expect full name and the sch you are teaching in, to be splashed on the newspaper.

And what is MOE trying to imply in this ST report?

A teacher who got into a traffic accident, did all he can to help and assist the victim, can expect further disciplinary action from them?

That was a typical canned statement from any organisation, let aloneMOE. What are you really expecting them to say?

Typically if you look at the traditionally "respected" professions in Singapore, information about the person is exposed quite easily, no matter how trivial the issue is. The public is also usually very critical and brutal about this. By working in these sectors, your identity is already exposed. You have already sacrificed or lost part of your private life.

Why do you think so many people in such professions chose, or want to switch to a private/self-employed position so badly? Besides the better worklife balance, they have better private lives, and minimise chances of getting "bullied" for such issues.

For this incident, no matter how much that officer did to help or correct his own mistakes, he is probably already marked. Perhaps won't be terminated. But hentak kaki, warning, poor performance grade etc, whatever you can think of is possible.
