Cause it’s like moving to new level and new subject.

If anyone has experience with this, would really appreciate it! Good to consider this option since many primary schools are high need schools with more KP roles available
I wouldn't say primary schools have more KP roles available. It's quite similar to the secondary school scene actually. In fact you have more people fighting for 1 role (Think of the number of history/geog teachers in your sch, fighting for the SH/HOD Humanities vs that of pri EL teachers).

That being said, if you're good at what you do, I think eventually you will be moved into leadership track. So good luck. There will be a period (a few weeks to 1 month+ can't really remember) that you will go for bridging courses, mostly to teach you pedagogy specific to primary schools, and some classroom mgt and ed psych also specific to pri schools.

And you would be envious or even jealous of those in private sectors who are who can move between companies and earning much more than you
you will need to look for ways to earn more then

and private sector is not really a bed of roses either

MOE is just one employer out of many. Just like how people in private sector can hop around, so can you. And please, everyone has to face steep learning curve whenever they hop into a new environment.

Teachers can hop from classroom to hq and do corporate roles. And like someone above mentioned, can even jump out of education related stuff and do completely different fields like HR. OPE got many interesting secondment opportunities to other organisations, to other stat boards and ministries. If still not contented with OPE, can look for internal job opportunities across the whole of public service too.

And no one stopping you from joining private sector also. It is up to you to define your career.

Almost every teacher has a degree, and everyone can choose to return to the sector they are trained in. Don't let yourself be trapped by self-limiting beliefs.

With the amount of continual PSCs given out, the balance will be upset
In 2022, there were only 5 PSC scholars (teaching services). How will that small number annually be able to monopolise all the High level positions?

This! There's so many secondment options nowadays. And the govt is also keen on pushing civil servants go certain occupations in the civil service such as nursing. The people who complain about being stuck in teaching have a terrible mindset.

Is it true that independent schools promote seconded staff faster than MOE schools?

Will be interesting to find out the % of teachers in each school that are already quiet quitters, one way or another.
