dude... ask your HR or your boss. and when promoted, you should have promotion increment..

there are cases of administrative errors lately. clear with your RO, and HR.
from the recent case, the errors were rectified, and if found to have no legit promotion triggered, the excess $ was clawed back.

the officer only found out 3-4 months later that he was not supposed to be promoted. therefore the clawback of excess amount was also quite substantial. this happened across a few ministries due to a system glitch.

Oh no, that must have felt horrible. Thank you for the response! I don’t expect good things usually, so it’s probably a mistake. I’ll double check and inform HR on Monday

Just for future reference (as I’m kind of new to the organisation), is there a specific month where DXOs are notified of a promotion? Is it informed together with the performance bonus?

MINDEF promotions are usually in July. Your boss will typically inform you in May/June before you get the official notice.

week 1 - interview, hiring manager accepted me on the same day. submitted payslips etc on chatbot the same day.
week 2 - HR called and asked about expected salary, few days later got back with verbal offer.
week 3 - done G50 submission

apr
week 1 - G50 cleared, HR informed to sign contract
week 2 - contract signed
