yup no impact. there are people promoted to one star general with foreign spouse. so im quite sure.

besides these uniformed immortal beings ? the DXOs are quite vulnerable no ? Just a little insecure because there isn't really some surety that foreign spouses would impact careers or promotions.

there has been some hearsay that if the spouse is on LTVP, the promotions will be halted until PR is attained. technically 2-3 years no promotion due to "pending clearances" about foreign spouse. not sure how true either.

No significant impact doesn't mean no impact.

Security clearance is closely tied to your career what.

If because of clearance issue, you cannot take on opportunities in sensitive areas, then your career growth is capped.

How many generalist low clearance DXO jobs are there?

Do anyone know what is the salary of Manager (Employee Contact Centre)?

Hi can anyone comment on what sort of role / level I'll be qualified to enter/ apply for in MINDEF?

Bachelors degree in political science - Durham University, First Class
Masters degree in politics specialisation - University of Oxford, Second class upper

Multiple internships during and prior to uni - Ministry of Foreign Affairs internship
Junior consultant position in Conflict Mediation - 1 year 4 months
Research Associate position in university - politics domain - 1 year 6 months

Is it ok to apply for manager and/or analyst position? Which is more suitable? thanks!

with your policy background you should try for DPO or research roles? Seems like will be a good fit. With your YOE i think not manager yet, maybe they offer AM
